Welcome to my Webpage! My name is Sarasij Maitra and I am a PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at University of Virginia working under the guidance of Prof. Craig Huneke. Here is my short UVa Profile Page. My research interests lie in Commutative Algebra. I study Noetherian rings and various properties of modules over such rings. I have been also actively engaged in teaching Calculus, both normal and flipped models. I have recently started working on the development of packages of a software called Macaulay 2. Before joining University of Virginia, I completed my bachelors and masters at Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore and Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata respectively.
