Welcome to my Webpage! My name is Sarasij Maitra and I am currently at the University of Utah as a Postdoctoral Researcher/Lecturer in Mathematics. I finished my PhD from the Department of Mathematics at University of Virginia under the guidance of Prof. Craig Huneke. My research interests lie in Commutative Algebra. I study Noetherian rings and various properties of modules over such rings. I have been also actively engaged in teaching Calculus, both normal and flipped models. I also worked on the development of packages of a software called Macaulay 2. Before joining University of Virginia, I completed my bachelors and masters at Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore and Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata respectively.
